JOAN’S WEEKEND BLOG – JULY 14/15, 2012 – WISHING THE BEST FOR A LONGTIME MEMBER AS SHE FACES MONDAY'S SURGERY
For the last four years, our member, Nikki, has shared her and her husband Lynn’s Alzheimer journey with us. She has allowed us into her most private thoughts, fears, and emotional traumas relating to her struggle to accept her husband’s disease. Along the way, she has offered advice, helpful information, and above all, unconditional loving support to all of us as we navigate through the devastating destruction of Alzheimer’s Disease.
As if she has not had enough to contend with in the years following Lynn’s diagnosis, she is now facing serious, complex brain surgery of her own on Monday, July 16th. She needs our support now more than ever. Please help me demonstrate our encouragement and good wishes for her as she faces such a critical life event. You may post messages of support for Nikki on our Message Boards under – Joan’s Weekend Blog – Wishing the best for Nikki.
Nikki’s sister will be posting updates on her condition on Nikki’s Facebook page. I will post them on the Message Board as soon as I receive them.
Thank you to Nikki for being there for us when we have needed you. We at The Alzheimer Spouse send you all of our best wishes for a successful surgery and easy recovery.
