Foster passed away this morning - see new discussion ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* Nancy just sent me this message:
My husband is in semi coma. May have had a stroke. Nurses all over the house. Still I am up. If he is going to die. I will be at his side. He does not respond to anyone else but I can get him to open his eyes for a second. He cannot squeeze my hand even. Pls post a note on AS. I cannot do it.
These last couple of weeks have been very difficult for Nancy's husband, and Nancy has been reaching out to Hospice and others to get help in caring for her husband. He has been falling and unable to get up, and she has been trying to do whatever necessary to get the care needed to keep him at home. Please keep Nancy and her husband in your thoughts and prayers.
Nancy, you have been there for so many of us. I hope that if this is his time, Foster goes peacefully and I'm sure that you are doing your utmost for him, as you always do.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. You have become very important to me, making me smile, giving me good advise and making my life a little better. I love you.
Prayers for peace and comfort for you, Nancy, and your family and for knowledge and skills for Hospice workers and medical folk involved. And thank you, Mary, for sharing Nancy's request with us.
Nancy, sometimes just sitting and holding our loved one's hand is all we can do -- for them and for us. I'm so sorry you and Foster are having to go through these difficult times. Know that better times are coming. Sending you warm Lockhart hugs.
Nancy both Rodney and I are so sorry to hear about your difficult time. Prayers and hugs are going up for you. Keep the faith and have peace. Feel the strength from all of us here, your virtual family. We pray for peace for both Foster and you. God Bless.
Dear heart, you and Foster are in my constant thoughts and prayers. You have been such a great source of help, hope and inspiration to me these past couple of months, let me be the same for you. God Bless you and your family. xoxo
Oh dear sweet Nancy, please remember that we are all here for you during this incredibly difficult time. I pray for peace for both of you. Feel the love and strength that we are sending to you. You have done a tremendous job taking care of your dear Foster. Know that if we could we would be there with you giving you hugs and holding your hands. Reach out to us dear friend, we will always be here to support you. Arms around and around, Susan
Nancy, I firmly believe that God works thru the Doctors and Nurses who believe. I pray that God might give them the wisdom, to bring him back to health. I that is not possible I pray that you will be given peace and comfort to know it is not the end but only the begining.
Nancy, I am kind of late reading this post. My computer took a nose dive on Tuesday afternoon and I got it back late this afternoon. Please know that I have said a prayer for you and Foster and I hope you are being strong as I'm sure you are. Take care and God Bless.
I haven't been on in a couple of days and I'm just now seeing this. My thoughts and prayers are with you for strength, and peace for both yourself and your dear husband.
I just got off the phone with Nancy, and she has asked me to update you on her husband.
Hospice has told her that Foster's body is shutting down, and it is just a matter of time. Nancy said that this decline has just happened in three days. She wasn't expecting it, nor did she think it would be happening so soon.
The priest has been there and given him the last rites and communion. There is a Hospice nurse who stays in the room with him. His throat doesn't allow liquid down. He's on oxygen and is being given morphine for the pain.
I honestly don't know how much more information to give you, but she wanted you to know that he can go at any time.
I'll be back to update you when I know something more.
Our prayers are with Nancy and the family during this time. (((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))
