If I'm in a hurry I use one tube of lipstick on my lips (duh), as a blush and as an eye shadow. A bit of mascara on my eyebrows smooths them out and colors the occasional gray hair. I'm real low maintenance
Tattooing eyeliner and eyebrows is not a good idea. If you ever need a head MRI they may not be able to do it because some tattoo pigments contains metals, and that goofs up the MRI and is dangerous for you.
Oooooh Shanteuse...imagine having an MRI machine blow up your eyelids when the magnetic tube and the metals in a tattooed eyelid came together. Yukeeeee mental picture. I would bet my flight attendant's eyeliner tattoo she got in Brazil was one of those with metal pigments. I can live out my lifetime drawing on my eyeliner, thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, durn, no tattoo on my eyebrows and I was so looking forward to it. Seems there is always some drawback to anything you want to do. Will try the just for men and see if that helps.
A beautician told me that men's hair grows fast and doesn't need the longer lasting color women's do, and that there are chemicals in the men's color that is bad for women's hair and it might cause hair to become more brittle. However, I don't know that for myself....I was just told that when I asked the same question!
Susan, sorry I wasn't around when this conversation was going on -- I'd certainly have volunteered my help in getting the photo. It looks to me like you cropped that tattoo photo pretty severely -- if you e-mailed us the whole image before cropping, would that be like "sexting"? And you DO intend to wear that sexy low cut bra and show a little tattoo when we dance, don't you?
Susan love the tat! I have one on my left breast. Got it the day I turned 18. Small and discreet and only seen in a swim suit or low cut blouse/dress. BTW, have a link for a purple bra if you want it. lol. Like shoegirl, I am designing one now in honor of my Dad. Not sure where I am going to have it placed yet.
As for your design it is really nice! I was thinking if you could put the tear in the corner of the heart, it would make a very nice Alzheimer's awareness/caregivers piece of jewelry. You should design something! :) OH! Put it on some products on zazzle and we can all buy from Joan's place.
Susan, I can see the tatoo, but it is blurry. You can email it to me. Why not find a way in all your spare time :-) to make up a temporary one and Joan can sell it. The jewelry is a nice thought too.
Marsh - my kind of man. I have never worn makeup and my hb has never said he would like me to. It would not have done any good anyway. I can't stand anything on my face. The lotion I use has to have little or no fragrance and disappear quickly so I don't feel like I put it on.
I am occasionally trying to figure out, through Zazzle, how to put my Purple Heart, on some items. So hang in there, time is limited but I'll figure it out eventually!
Has anyone seen the Alzheimer Jewelry on the Alz.org site. (I know it's on the local site). It is a charm or pendant that looks like a brain. It's not pretty, if you ask me. I think the purple heart is a much better idea. Jane Seymore (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, designed a piece of jewelry last year called Open Hearts .The line was inspired by Seymour's "Healing Hearts" paintings and represents the idea that if one's heart is open it will never stay broken. The two open hearts linked together also symbolize that two people can be one, while still retaining their individuality. I had thought it might be appropriate for caregivers, too.
It was pleasant to see how much you ladies enjoyed this discussion. Good for you. And I was especially proud of 'Texas Joe' for venturing into the discussion with you. Looks like he is the only man so far, so I will try my hand.
My thought, when I read Susan's posting, was what a sweet, loving thing to do. As usual, she must be a nice person.
