Just before waking this morning, I had a dream that we'd all agreed to meet at a certain restaurant. I thought there were maybe twelve of us, so I said, well, put it all on one check and I'll pay with a credit card and you all can pay me.. and then it turned out that the whole restaurant was filled with people from this list, shaking hands, etc - I kept introducing myself as Clare, and then finally realized that these people, whom I feel I know well - Sunshyne and Dazed and Frand and Starling and marsh and kitty and ALL of you - knew me as briegull! So I went back and hugged everyone as briegull!! But then was worrying if my credit card would hit the limit..

    ..and I woke up!
  1.
briegull could you please put my Sunday morning bagel and lox on the bill

Very interesting dream. Maybe your desire to pull people out of cyberspace into real space? I keep a dream journal. It helps to show patterns. I've been doing this for years, and I sometimes go back & read from years ago, and can see where my dreams came from at that point in my life. Hope we had fun!

This is very interesting, who knows what will happen in the future. But I promise to pay my own way if there are more than twelve of us.

Sounds like we are having Sunday Brunch. I want the one from the hotel we used to go to for wine tastings and Thanksgiving brunch please. I really miss that high class Sunday Brunch deal that I can't get where I currently live.

I'll pay my own way too. Like Kitty said, you may be trying to pull your friends out of cyberspace. I wish we could do that cause I love all of you'all.

I've been thinking about this some more, and maybe we should have someone other than briegull host this event. Her ideas about what's fun to eat differ quite a bit from mine.

I, too, like to try different food items. I've eaten alligator. Not bad. I also had some other odd looking dish at a Korean function several years ago. It had a round bone in it that was about as big around as your little finger. I must say it was delicious but I was very polite and did not ask what it was. I have my suspiciouns, but, that's a different sory. However, I'm not interested in kangaroo testicles or prarie oysters (sometimes called mountain oysters). I'll stick with the whole wheat muffin with blackberry jam it that's ok with the rest of you? (smile)

I'll have macadamia nut muffins with real butter. I loved them when we were in Hawaii. Other than that I am not brave enough to try exotic food.

Jean, one of the things I remember best about the trip we took to Hawaii was the peach-colored doves that came right into the open-air restaurants. I loved to feed them, and nobody objected ... such pretty, gentle birds.

I'd like to be in on the brunch as well...anything is fine w/me, but I'd have a mimosa (one of our fav's) without anything else @ all...afterall, it's the Vitamin C in it that make it heathy, right? :) The macadamia nut muffins sound heavenly, with real butter!! Oh my...

I'm so happy to be in gourmet heaven with good friends...and not having to pick up the bill to boot. Might introduce you to Magnolias if you haven't had them. Mimosas, but a shot of Grand Marnier added at the end..not too shabby.

Have we decided when and where we're going to meet? Just so I can mark my calendar.:) I'm such a social butterfly, I need to keep track of all of my engagements. Oh, and by the way, I'd like to change my order if it's not too late--I think I want a Belgian Waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. A large cup of black coffee and a big glass of ice water. Thanks!

OK, so it is not a buffet. Hum...

I want the egg special. The kind with bacon and sausage and scrambled eggs and home fries. Yum..

And black coffee. And keep the coffee coming. Love my coffee in the morning.

I'll take "Surf & Turf" - filet Mignon and MAINE lobster, with cole slaw, hot rolls, and blueberry (MAINE) Buckle for dessert.

I still don't know when and where we're suppose to meet. Did I miss something? And I changed my mind again. Scratch the waffle. I'll take a 2-egg spanish omlet, 2 little port sausages and some hash browns. Two slices of buttered WW toast with jam. A large cup of black coffee (and just leave the caraffe on the table by my plate, please.) Also, I'll still need that big glass of ice water. Can't think of anything else right now....Marsh's choice sounds wonderful but I'm not a big fan of lobster (Maine or otherwise.)
  8.
Mawzy why bother with the WW toast. Didn't we tell you that all calories would be gone the 5th Tuesday of the month. Girl-you're just not with it.

So, we're meeting the 5th Tuesday of the month? Where? What time? I gotta know these things well in advance. Also, why can't I have that WW toast? Can I have it on the 5th Tuesday? There are only about 3-400 calories in it. I'll just give up the sausages. You can see i'm a big carb fan. And my hips show it, too.

Mawzy, you can have WW toast as long as you want it because it tastes good. No calorie-counting allowed for briegull's little get-together.

But, where is it? I'd sure hate to find out you all got together and had a ton of fun and I missed it. I need the adult fellowship. Getting desperate. I'm going to go make myself 2 sl of WW toast with cheese. I'm being good to myself today and adding a little protien.
  9.
If briegull is running this party, maybe we could have it on Monhegan Island (Maine) on January 15
  10.
Let's not tell Mawzy where it is. That way we'll have somebody to talk about.

If you were on Monhegan Island on January 15, you'd be so f**ing cold you wouldn't KNOW if it was the fifth Tuesday. THose guys out there are hardy, and used to START their lobster season on JANUARY 1, but for a bunch of reasons they now start October 1. Wimps!

Well, that certainly settled THAT. I am definitely the wimpiest of wimps when it comes to being cold. Spoiled rotten by San Diego winters now.

So if you're going to hold it on Monhegan Island in January, bluedaze, you can tell Mawzy, and talk about me.

I've never been to Main. What's the name of the restaurant? Am I being pushy? There's really not too much to talk about...I finished my memoirs 3 years ago---I could send you a copy on line but it's probably too much for your memory to handle. Sigh. It's always something. :)

So, the brunch is in Texas now? What happened to Maine? And, please,no lobster for me. Ugh. However, I've tasted fresh water lobster (craw dads or craw fish or cray fish to you who don't know fresh water stuff). That's pretty good--steamed and dipped in butter with a big hunk of hot garlic bread.

I'm signing off now. I'm going to go make a big bowl of popcorn, read a chapter or two in my book and then go do some roses.

    Later.

I hate anything with bananas in it. I love bananas plain or with peanut butter. Ever have a banana, peanut butter and bacon sandwich.
  13.
I'm with bluedaze. I have a psychological "allergy" to bananas. It all started when I got very sick as a child after eating a banana. I'm sure it wasn't the banana, but I haven't been able to eat them since.
