My name is Marsha T and I just found this website tonight. Thank you in advance for information and support. This is a new journey for my husband and me. He has been on "Memory Meds" for a couple of years but just last fall we received official diagnosis of Alzheimer's Dementia.
My husband was diagnosed in 3/2008 - so been on this a long time. Been trying to find the right memory care for him - on third one now and hope 'third time is the charm'. I am 66, he is 71.
Welcome, Marsha, to our Merrie Band here in Happy Hollow. There is a lot of wisdom and support here, although the site is not as active as it used to be. I think many of the group also go to alzheimerconnected.org. (Not sure if that is exactly right--maybe someone else will chime in?) Anyway, welcome to one of the few places where everybody "gets it" and can offer useful help--not just platitudes and baloney.
