Dr. Oz was on Ophra today with his test for Altzheimer Disease. He asked the audience to remember 7 random numbers and
after the station break he was going to see how many remembered them. Many memorized them and some got them out of sequence but he said that was ok. He was going to put a few combinations of 7 numbers on the board and if they DIDN'T
recognize a familiar combination then he was worried. I had 1 number wrong but I recognized the combination. So, I guess I am ok for now.

I couldn't see the board long enough. And I didn't keep trying to memorize the numbers long enough. AND I'm dyslexic enough that I couldn't have passed his test when I was 20 years old. Did anyone notice that the patterns were all pretty much the same. I do the was/saw thing. I actually said "get" to myself earlier today and typed "teg."

I didn't see this show but I can still draw a clock, count backwards by 7, remember three things, and remember what floor I'm on. I hope I'm still good. I keep checking myself...you know about caregiver's dementia.

Given what we have all observed, I bet those who "checked" their memory did fine, those who didn't do well didn't realize/acknowledge it, and some didn't even try.
