I need to find a care worker for DH for the 2 hours in the afternoon when he's home alone, now that he's become incontinent. I'm really hoping to get something in place before school starts in a couple of weeks. I seemed to remember seeing a guide or a list of questions to ask people when interviewing them for this type of job. Does anyone remember that. Was it on this site or possibly on the Alzheimer Assoc. site?

Mine's been incontinent for some time. I leave him for more than two hours and let Depends do their stuff!
  1.
I don't know if this would apply in your case, but my Mom had a colostomy and when I started doing her meds I gave her Miralax laxative every morning with her breakfast and she would almost always have a BM in the evening. It might work giving them the Miralax in the evening for a morning BM. If they are not taking a laxative this wouldn't help. I think I would use the Depends in any case. You may already be using the Depends and just not want the mess to go on so long. Got ya.

I read in another thread that he's bowel incontinent. That's a different kettle of fish - but have you tried our old favorite immodium to regulate him?
