Just an update. I have told you on previous threads of the current dilemma, Lisa has always been agitated and it got to the point where she was lashing out hitting, yelling disruptive to the point where the facility said they could no longer keep her for her safety and others. Only option tiertiary care so on waiting list in mean time I have to provide 24-7 one on one so she stays safe and does not end up being sent to hospital.
We have been on the full dose of Cannabis oil now for a couple of weeks and what a change, not nearly as agitated, has started eating better and has put on weight, seems more verbal still not understandable but generally much calmer and pleasant. All the workers and companions have commented what a difference it has made. There is a meeting with SORT team tomorrow to re-evaluate my hope is that I can stop the full on companionship and that we do not have to go the tiertiary route but can just transfer her to a calmer quieter place. I have viewed a number of them and have 4 that would be great. Let’s hope for positive result tomorrow. At this point The Cannabis oil has made a big difference in her quality of life.
If you do a search on marinol you will see the improvement nikki's husband had on it. Originally gave it so he would but also had some cognitive improvement. There are also others whose spouse used it.
