Hi everyone! I wanted to share more information about a research study investigating emotion processing in caregivers of family members with AD/ADRD. More details below:
PURPOSE The Translational Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (T-SCAN) Lab at Rice University is seeking caregivers for family members diagnosed with AD/ADRD for a research study on psychological mechanisms of caregiving and emotion processing.
ELIGIBILITY Are you a primary family caregiver for a patient who has received a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease or Alzheimer’s Disease-Related Dementia (AD/ADRD), providing care for the patient in your home? If so, you may be eligible to participate in a new study on emotion regulation/coping strategies for caregivers of AD/ADRD patients.
PARTICIPATION - Participation involves one visit to the Rice University BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC, 6500 Main St Houston TX 77030), one week of responding to questionnaires via cell phone text message, and a final follow up via cell phone text message after two weeks. - Participants will be monetarily compensated for their time in the study.
