Hi everyone! I wanted to share more information about a research study investigating emotion processing in caregivers of family members with AD/ADRD. More details below:

    PURPOSE
The Translational Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (T-SCAN) Lab at Rice University is seeking caregivers for family members diagnosed with AD/ADRD for a research study on psychological mechanisms of caregiving and emotion processing.

    ELIGIBILITY
Are you a primary family caregiver for a patient who has received a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease or Alzheimer’s Disease-Related Dementia (AD/ADRD), providing care for the patient in your home? If so, you may be eligible to participate in a new study on emotion regulation/coping strategies for caregivers of AD/ADRD patients.

    PARTICIPATION
    - Participation involves one visit to the Rice University BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC, 6500 Main St Houston TX 77030), one week of responding to questionnaires via cell phone text message, and a final follow up via cell phone text message after two weeks.
    - Participants will be monetarily compensated for their time in the study.

    IF INTERESTED
If you are interested or would like more information, send an email to rice.tscan@gmail.com with your name and contact information and we call you shortly after.

This research study has been reviewed and approved by Rice University Institutional Review Board.

If you read these boards you will learn more than you ever wanted to know about coping and how caregiving affects us.

As for participating, I could never afford financially to go got Texas nor do I have anywhere to leave my husband.
