    Hi everyone,

A lot of blu-rays that I want to get come from foreign countries and are locked for a different region. Do the "region-free" blu-ray players actually work? Are they modded players? Are they guaranteed to work, or is it hit or miss? If they're actually legit, does anyone recommend a good one?

And for some reason, it's hard to find a clear answer on the PS4. Is IT region-free as far as blu-rays go?

    Thanks for any info!

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

I know people who buy region free players and find that they work. The entire region issue for DVD and Blue-rays was poorly thought out. There are other issues to content with such as different audio and video standards, though I think any decent TV set can deal with them.

The PS4 is region locked for movies but not for games. That might be why you might be confused on this issue.

Just make sure you can return the Blu-ray player if it doesn't work. Amazon sells many of them and I note that many are made by major electronics companies. https://smile.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_1_7?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=region+free+blu+ray+player&sprefix=region+%2Caps%2C115&crid=181IT0EF94IDH

I've seen comments that most Blu-Ray movies are not region locked, but I cannot confirm this statement.

I have no idea what this discussion had to do with Alzheimer's Spouses.

It doesn't have anything to do with Alzheimer's. This is spam and we should just ignore it.
