I was granted SSI disability 20 months ago, I just found out about a company pension plan and trust that I forgot about from a job I worked at from 1990 to 1996 and didn't tell social security about ( I didn't know I had it) The plan states I cant touch it till I'm 55 or if on DISABILITY!!! I'm 49 years old now and like I said collecting SSI disability for the last 20 months. Can I receive this being on SSI DISABILITY???? Can someone please help me with my problem??? THANKS

Not sure how it will affect it. The only way to find out is to contact SS.

I think it is Jane that knows a lot about SS. Maybe she pops in now and then so can help.

Found this - it might help

No Limits on Unearned Income. While a disabled (nonblind) person applying for or receiving SSDI cannot earn more than $1,170 per month by working, a person collecting SSDI can have any amount of income from investments, interest, or a spouse's income.

http://www.ssdrc.com/askaquestion97.html check this page too. Says you can.

You should be fine. SSDI only checks if you are working, since it pays you for not working. Other income, such as a private long term disability insurance policy, does not affect SSDI. My wife collects from a private disability insurance on top of SSDI.
