    My dear husband of 62 years passed on Monday. It's been a long goodbye. Eleven years he has been in the grip of Alzheimer's and I find peace in knowing he has been set free and entered Heaven. His passing was peaceful and quick at the end. He took a sharp decline on Friday and passed in three days. The long goodbye is now over. God be with all of you that are still suffering watching your loved one decline. I will always be grateful for this board.

    Marilynn, I'm so, so sorry for the loss of your husband. It has been two months since mine died. You got through all the suffering of these past years, you will get through this too, even though it seems you never will.
