Listening to Christmas music on PBS and am enjoying a peaceful day. Just may eat about half a coconut pie (my favorite dessert) later today. Merry Christmas to all. A big hug to you, Jazzy.
Motorcycle man across the street invited me to turkey dinner today. We've spent some time together these last two weeks because he's been writing short stories about his life and I'm helping him to edit them. I declined and ate my leftover goulash with rice. Just 10 minutes ago my doorbell rang a bunch and the door was pounded on and even though I was there in a flash, I could just see the door across the court closing.
Stuck on my storm door was a hand written sign saying "sorry no veggies", and on the landing was a paper plate covered in tin foil. It was warm turkey and mashed potatos with a small tupperware container of gravy. "Thank you!" I yelled out into the night. All three of us are sitting here licking our lips. I haven't had turkey in five years. Like any good Hobbits, we had second dinner.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and Happy Hanukkah!
Merry Christmas to all. Thank you for all your support this past year as I continue my journey forward. Went to visit my mother in hospice after church with a friend. Came home and had leftovers from family gathering yesterday and watched movies the rest of the day. All in all a better holiday than last year.
