I went an hour back to standard time - tired of saving time!!!

I had finally, unfortunately, gotten my internal clock set to wake up to get him off to day care in case my phone alarm did not go off. Now to reset cause I sure don't want to be getting up at 6:15 am!

The darkest time of the year in a place that doesn't get much winter sun. Sunset will be at 4:30 tonight. I really suffer from lack of light, even though I use a SAD light. I've potted a bunch of tender outdoor plants and moved them indoors. Bougainvillea, mandevilla, rosemary, basil. Trying to fight off the inevitable.

Old Indian saying about daylight saving time: "Only the government could think you can cut a foot off the top of the blanket and sew it on the bottom and have a longer blanket

I love that saying, Marsh! I hate daylight savings.
We have it all through spring and summer here.
Good to see you again, hope that your life is still happy.

Its a quarter to 6 and my partner is up and ready to start her day. I'm with Marsh on this too. Just leave the clock alone.

When my husband was in a dementia ALF, our daughter quipped that time change sent dementia patients in the ALF unit, as well as the dogs at home into total discombobulation. They all have internal clocks, especially for eating, and neither group can understand what chaos we "thinking" people have wrought on the order of their days. The agitation of the patients was so bad that the staff was totally stressed; you could feel the anxiety as soon as you walked into the unit. We observed this time change melt-down over the several years at the ALF.

I was talking to an aide when I went to see Dan the other day. She said the time thing didn't seem to have that much effect on the residents, for the most part. But....when it's full moon time, that's another story! The peak of the full moon is on the 14th this month.
