General: Absence Seizures?

    I am wondering exactly what absence seizures are. Is it something my husbnad could have w/o me knowing it? Sometimes in the morning he has trouble getting his balance and legs give out. Usually he catches himself but sometimes if I am not close by he lands on the floor. Is this just the signal from the brain that is messed up???

    Thank you kadee. I don't think my husband has had these seizures. He has FTD and has been taking lamictal for a year now.
