Today, I googled "The Alzheimer Spouse" and tried to go there from the link. (It has said it the site is hacked for sometime, but has always worked). But this time it redirected to a different web address, and never would connect. So anyone seeking help or this website via search engines is getting directed to: http://top-24h-can-store.com/redirect.php?z=viagra So it has definately been hacked. What is sad about this is that anyone seeking help, like I was when I found this site 9 years ago, cannot access it if they do not know the address is www.thealzheimerspouse.com. This could explain the lack of activity on the board. (I am using an apple computer and Safari browser when this happens). It makes the site inaccessible to those who need it most, which is a real tragedy as it has been a godsend for so many. What can we do to get this fixed?
The only person who can fix it is Joan. I just sent send her an email telling her about your post.
I searched the site using a PC, Internet Explorer, and a different search engine. The correct address (www.thealzheimerspouse.com) appeared on the list of options, but I was unable to access the site.
I always access the site with my bookmark without any problem. But after reading Joan's posting, I did a Google search under "The Alzheimer Spouse". It was second on the list, but when I clicked on it, my Malwarebytes site blocked it entirely stating it is a malicious site.
I use Firefox and Win 10 if that makes a difference.
Sometime this week I was going to write a big notice to you about what to expect in the next two weeks regarding the website. I did NOT expect any Google changes, and I promise to have Matt look into it. Please be patient with us until the end of the month. All problems should be solved by then. Until then, please just access the site by typing in the address or clicking your bookmark.
By the end of the month, there will be a whole new look and functions to the site. It will be as supportive as it has always been, but it will also reflect the changes in my life. We are working hard behind the scenes to make the site better than ever.
I ask for your patience as the changes are implemented and the bugs are worked out.
However, I just logged onto Google, wrote in The Alzheimer Spouse, and it came up 2nd on the list. It did say it was hacked, but when I clicked on it, it took me directly to the site.
Thank you for your continued support and patience.
The site was hacked. It is now FIXED. You should not have any more problems getting on.
I know I have been quiet lately. I have not written any blogs, nor have I been active on the message boards. That is because there is lots and lots of work going on behind the scenes here. Matt and his web design team are working daily on everything that I could never have imagined was involved in designing a professional website. Can't wait for you to see the new improved website. It should be ready by the end of April.
