I've heard that excessive use of technology can cause Dementia. Is it true? Are there any age limits? And what can we as moms and wives do to prevent Digital Dementia?

Never heard about it before till you mentioned it. But alzheimesr.net has a blog on it November 12, 2013.

They said it may be reversible, but try to get anyone to give up their digital devices. When I was young (ha-ha) we were allowed one hour of TV. Now kids are glued to their screens 7 hours a day. Because of digital, we are underusing vital parts of our brain and it is having its consequences. Have no idea what we can do about it. MY future DIL uses her devices continuously, and my son's job has him in front of a screen for hours. And here I am, at 3 AM in using the computer at 3 AM.

The kinds of dementia that our spouses have are terminal illnesses for which there is no effective treatment.

I doubt that people with "digital dementia" have a terminal illness. And I question whether underuse of part of one's brain can be put in the same category as a disease that destroys neurons that formerly allowed one's brain to function well. "Digital dementia" sounds like a catchy buzzword to me.

I would think it is similar to writing. I find using the computer all the time my ability to write with a pen suffers. Sometimes I have to stop and think when signing since I don't write very much.

I'll take this more seriously when I see a peer reviewed article in a respectable scientific journal. In the old days reading and writing were condemned because it allowed people to not have to depend on their memory so much.

You can find scientific articles about the increase of stress in society compared to 50 years ago. This additional stress is probably worse for our brains than many other things mentioned.
