    Hello Everyone,

This has been a particularly difficult year for our members. There have been so many deaths from Alzheimer's Disease, including my own dear husband. As I do every year, I will post an In Memoriam section on the Home Page. However, I am having trouble finding the posts of those who have lost their spouses. Please help me out by posting in this section - your name (screen name), your spouse's name, and date of death.

Some people posted in Alzspouse on Facebook, rather than on the message boards. If you are one of them or know of one of them, please also post it here.

    Thank you very much.

Joan, it's a lovely gesture to do the In Memoriam list and a poignant reminder for so many of us who lost loved ones this year.
I see that myrtle has me on her list....... I did lose my husband, Herb, on May 19th.... my name is Ruth.

Best Wishes to all for a happier 2016.

I'm so sorry, Tina. I'm not sure if I responded to you at the time Tom died. As I am sure you understand, I'm still not focusing well.

How ironic that you, Jackie, and I were together in March, and now all 3 of our husbands are gone.

Hoping for a better 2016 for all of us.

    PrisR*,

The In Memoriam on the home page is for the year 2015. You were listed in the 2012 list. How are you doing? I can't imagine ever getting over this change. Ever.

Marsh* - I made the change on the home page.

Joan, I realized my mistake too late. I'm doing fine, considering my own serious health issues that happened. But I came through the long process and am once again able to travel and enjoy life. I pretty much got over the Alzheimer's experience when, 20 years after a lumpectomy, I once again had breast cancer and had a mastectomy, followed by reconstruction there, reduction on the other side, all in all several operations and procedures (skin stretching is not fun!) that took almost a year. Hell of a way to get your mind off Alzheimers! When I think of Don now it's with a smile as I remember the good years and how happy we were together. On April 2 I'm off on a 30-day cruise to the South Pacific with friends. Would it be more fun with my sweetie? Of course.
