I watched a documentary today which I found amazing. I've been off this site for a number of years, so you may already know about it. I streamed it through Netflix, titled "Alive Inside: a Story of Music and Memory." This movie follows social worker Dan Cohen as he uses music to unlock the memory in nursing home patients with Alzheimer's. He finds music from the patient's era and lets them listen on headphones from an ipod. It is simply awesome to watch the transformation in these patients as they listen to "their" music. At the end of the movie, they ask for donations of ipods, etc. to transform more lives.

Recovering from soft tissue injury hip surgery and may need back surgery. So basically, sad to report, my life is a lot of pain. But my ex and I remain good friends. He grocery shopped for me after my surgery and I am going to take care of him after his surgery Oct. 30 for a rotator cuff injury. He makes repairs to my house and we stay in touch. Thanks for asking Charlotte.

Good to hear from you again Kitty. Sorry about the surgeries and the pain but glad to know you and your ex have a good relationship. I joined this site a few moths after you and was also considering divorce, but decided not to. My husband is further along in the disease than your ex.

Kitty, just several days I was wondering how you were doing. The thing I dislike about these forums is that you feel as though you get to know people and then they disappear and you have no idea how they are doing. Thanks for checking in.

Then again, there are people like me who read every day but post so seldom that no one misses us when we disappear.
