I just tested on my Mac at work with Google Chrome and had not problems, so I suspect the problem is specific to your computer.
I suggest going to the menu item "Clear Browsing Data…" and then quitting from Chrome and then launching Chrome. This could clear out some cached data that is preventing you from signing in. On a Mac this menu item is under the Chrome menu, On Windows go to the only menu on the right and from the More Tools item select Clear Browsing Data… from the submenu.
I have an iMac and got rid of chrome because it was so unstable and went to safari and now no more problems. I think the browsers act differently depending on your computer and provider. Maybe we need to clear our junk off every now and then. Love my Macs
No, the early reviews had too many problems. I finally am learning 7 after a few years. Plus, from what I read a lot of my software will not work with it because they are older.
No---I'm a coward. I also have windows 7 and like it. Don't know why I want to do something that would cause me to have to learn something new, but-----
Our son, who knows a lot about hardware and software, tells me to wait. They will get the worst bugs out of it the first few months. Then he will switch, and when he thinks it is ready for me, with the first problems gone, he will install it for me ;-). So I just wait. Maybe a good idea for many of us who are not computer pioneers. I am not!
My daughter has windows 10 and had lots of problems in the beginning. After many, many updates it is mostly ok now, but she told me not to do it as I have a old laptop, 5 or 6 years old. She isn't sure the computer will even support windows10. Besides I'm happy with windows7.
I share a desktop with my son which has Win 7 and we are both happy with it. Our daughter installed Win 10 as soon as it came out and she hasn't had any problems. The kids gave me a laptop for Christmas last year with 8.1 which I detest and really want Win 10. Unfortunately I'm one of the last bunch to get Win 10 downloaded by Microsoft.
There are always problems when a new version comes out. I have a friend who still uses Win 95. It works for her and as long as it and her old computer holds out, she won't change!
Bluedaze, you inspired me to install Chrome on an old MacBook running 10.9.5 to see if I could reproduce the login problem. Now, just because I could produce what seems to be the problem doesn't prove that I created the same problem you're having with Chrome, but there's a good chance. This problem could happen with Windows or Mac.
In the upper right corner of your Chrome browser there's an icon that has three horizontal lines. If you point at it, it'll display something like "Customize and control Google Chrome". Click on it, then click on Settings. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and then click on Show advanced settings. Under Privacy, click on Content Settings. Under Cookies, you'll probably see that the radio button for Block sites from setting any data has been selected -- instead, you want to click on the radio button in front of Allow local data to be set. Then click Done. And then you should be able to log in on this site with Chrome.
They installed Windows 10 on my computer on the first day roll out. There are changes to get use to but my old brain needs the exercise. I notice that my computer is faster and I am doing okay with the changes. I have an older desk top and I may go to a laptop before long.
Just some computer talk. If you run Windows and if it is older than Windows 7 (Windows XP, Win 95, Windows 2000) it has severe malware vulnerabilities. Staying at Windows 7 might be a good choice, I can understand why anyone running Windows 8 would want to upgrade to 10. There have been a number of bug fixes already to Win 10 that improves its stability.
Google Chrome on Mac OS X had no problems signing into the forum.
