I was alone in a crowd,
and he was there too.

The others tried to draw me in,
with their plans of things to do.

He stood apart, and I wanted to stay,
One guy had something interesting to say.

I looked but could not see him,
Someone said he'd left,

I had to go find him,
For he would be bereft.

The poet says he's found a dream,
But I have found a dream lost.
