Hello. my husband pqassed comfortably today at home. I am still numb. Hospice nurse came on Saturday and made sure all meds were in order. He had visitors on Sunday and was able to smile weakly. I went to work today and my SIL called from home to say that his breathing was unusual, I went home and got in bed with him @ 10:30 am and he passed @ 3:30. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to be with him at home at the end. Now, funeral etc. Too much to absorb now. So glad to have been able to read and learn on this website. Thank you Joan and others. What a long journey. Nine years. I can hardly believe it and cannot imagine the future. Please keep me in your prayers.
Isa, you've carried such a tremendous burden with both your mother and husband, with raising the children and with working, that you can now ease yourself back into a more normal life. I wish for you a well-deserved rest and peace of mind. Blessings will surely come.
Please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of your dear husband. The weeks and months ahead will be difficult ones, and I hope and pray you will find the necessary strength to get through them. Take care of yourself.
