I am watching hearings on alzheimer's disease right now on CSPAN and see delegates with their purple sashes on there. If you are on sight right now Friday evening 9:30 P.M. March 27.
Thanks dorie1M1, I caught the last half. I will check for a repeat over the weekend. Just wondering if Collins, McCaskill and Tillis were the only senators in attendance? Every little bit of informing the public helps.
Was that the Council on Aging hearing? It was Wednesday afternoon at 2:15. I was in the building, and was about to go to it when I got a text from my chapter leader that she was able to get our 3:30 meeting moved to 2:30, so I had to push my little legs from the House office building to the Senate office building. A mere 5 minute walk according to the security guard I asked for directions. HA! Five minutes for him maybe, but not for turtle me.
I was told that at that hearing and most all of them, the senators come and go. They don't sit through the whole session.
If you find a link for a repeat of the whole hearing, would you please post it here. Thank you.
Joan, the senator who was moderating ? was Sen Susan Collins. Just happened on it surfing for something to watch, was 9-10 P.M, That was only name I wrote down. One of them mentioned that it was largest crowd they had ever had at a hearing. They did call it alzheimer's hearing on screen.
CSPAN will be airing the Senate hearing from 2 am until 4 am on March 30th -- that's actually tomorrow night. I'll save it on DVR, as I'm not that much of a nightowl anymore!
