Oh, I forgot, whether it's showering, going on the treadmill, brushing teeth--"I already did that". Then I have to go get the toothbrush and show him it's dry. What will I do when the toothbrush being dry doesn't mean anything anymore?
marilynMD, I hear that all the time also. Same with the pills that I put out. He says"I already took them". Lately, if I have time, I stand in the bathroom doorway and watch!!!
Wow, I can't believe it was "only" a year ago that I posted to this thread. It brings Lynn's decline sharply into view. I feel like I was just hit by a 2X4! accck
However, somethings just don't change. Lynn still has an excuse ready for everything the nurses ask him to do. The major difference? I can ask him to do anything, and now he does it. No argument, no excuses, he is sweet and pleasant and always says, "anything for you." Awwwwwwwww. It is such a blessing to have this part of "my Lynn" back. Such a gift to be someone he loves again and not his mortal enemy!
