Set your mind at ease. I am very well, in fact better than I have been in a long time.
I have had my hours of in home respite increased, and I also have a 6 night, 7 day respite period once a month when my DH goes into an ALF and I can do whatever I want, including being spontaneous with friends and family.
I am spending as much time as I can in the "real" world, and this has helped me to cope much better. And this has also meant that my DH has plateaued at a state that I can manage, because I am in a better state myself and thus not transferring all my anxieties to him. so he is less upset, I am less upset and life is as good as it could be.
We all know the unpredictability of this disease, and the more or less pleasant state my DH and I are in could turn around in a heart beat. And then I will be back to this forum on a regular basis. In the meantime, I am taking a break from reading or posting.
All of my virtual friends here are in my thoughts and prayers, even if you don't see me online.
