I just saw this on the internet, specifically Huffington Post. According to the report he may have had dementia, specifically LBD.

Apparently he had hallucinations during the last days of his life. His wife said he complained about the effects of some of his meds. I am guessing this refers to Rx meds but saw no mention of which meds they may have been.

I have read that too, Abby. He had Parkinsons and often FTD is part of that as it is with ALS.
At least he and his family won't have to go through all the heartache that would have been in his future.
It is always good to see your name appear Abby, hope that there is some joy in your life at the moment.

I would NEVER openly and publicly advocate suicide. Never. But Robin Williams knew he had Parkinson's. If he also knew he had dementia, and knew what was ahead for him and his family, I can understand why he chose the path he did.

I was just watching the PBS Newshour and they reported that Robin Williams' widow has confirmed that what he had was Lewy Body Dementia. They also interviewed a doctor who specialized in LBD and I thought he did an excellent job of explaining the nature of the disease. He said it is often misdiagnosed because it has the same symptoms of other diseases, like Parkinson's (movement problems), Alzheimer's (memory problems), and schizophrenia (hallucinations).
