    I never knew until my mom passed that hiccups COULD BE a sign that the end was near.

    The last 14 hours before DH died ( I didn't know it was the last 14 hours ) , he had the hiccups every 15 to 30 minutes. I kept trying to get some sips of water into him to stop it but it didn't help. He was also gurgling with every breath so I was probably drowning him.
