My identity has been compromised. Things are getting worse. I want my anonymity. I want to continue to contribute & learn, but at this point, I can't keep on being Val.

Yow. Sorry. Anyway, to help you, is it that you can't start a new account because you are automatically signed in when you come to post?

    E-mail Joan for suggestion.

Or, can you do a yahoo or hotmail free account? With a different e-mail it would be easy to start a new account. Not sure, but I think you have to change account first to put in a new screen name.

Try signing out, then apply for a new account and use a different name. You can use the same email, because under account you can have that hidden. If you call yourself Sal, anyone clicking it wouldn't know your email to connect you.

    Thanks trisenger.

I guess Joan will help me with this.

Things have become too private, and to have my name, city, etc. connected to the site is too exposing. I never expected the downhill that I am now experiencing. Well, anyhow, this fast.

    Val
  1.
Val, I hope we can still know who you are under your new name. We all love you. You've been a help to many of us just by sharing.
  2.
Val-don't know if you realized it-but I had much the same problem. Unfortunately I don't know who caused me grief so it will end here. If you are comfortable with it you can give Joan permission to share your new identity with me. Who else can I share my cat stories with. Just watch out for the pigs.

Dazed, Bluedaze, Oh I will be sure to give YOU all my identity, as soon as I can find a new one. So sweet. Or anyone. I just don't want to post under Val anymore. There are reasons. I am sure you will recognize me anyhow, I am the one to make the opposite opinions. I am surprised to know I have been a help to anyone, but if so, I am grateful. You can only imagine what this site has given me.

    Val,

I have answered you via e-mail.

Everyone be assured I NEVER EVER give out e-mail addresses without permission, but the Internet is never really secure, so I am sure anyone with a lot of knowledge can find a way to penetrate security.

Val, we'll get the same user name. Since we seem to voice the most 'out there' opinions, they won't know which one of us it is!! LOL

BTW, I don't really think we have out there opinions. We just like to voice the devil's advocate a lot. People sometimes interpret that as hostile, but it's just making you look at things from a different (and maybe not as popular) point of view.
  3.
Honesty is a good thing. We don't have to say what we think people say we should say and do. There is nothing wrong with hating a bad situation. We didn't cause it. Because a person who caused us grief becomes ill it is not our fault and they do not achieve sainthood.

Ummm... I guess I'm confused, unless Val has already followed Joan's advice, 'cause it looks like she has a new (and very suitable) name here ... one I sure won't have trouble remembering!
  4.
You have that right, Sunshyne! <grin>

I wonder what language was being used here besides English? I must have slept or something and missed it! LOL

I do like that rule though, Joan! Especially since I wouldn't be able to translate what was written! <grin>

It was German. trisinger was born in Berlin. Just a few supportive words, nothing that Joan would have to delete. :-) Looked like fun while it lasted. Where is the rule book for the site?

Thanks all for getting me ready for being a preschool teacher. Can't imagine what I've gotten myself into. Hey, it's a living.

  16.
Or...gives you a big hug and tells you they love you. That would get my tears flowing.

Can you tell that I have some little grandchildren. The two four-year-olds (different families) and I play a game that I started called "I Love You Most." I start by saying I Love You. they say I Love You More. I say I Love You Best. They they say I Love Daddy (or Grandpa) Most. It is so fun.

Well, I sure got off the topic. It happens with me.

    Mary!!

Mary, my DD's game is called "I love you more than..." They try to each think up stuff they love so much, and then decide if they love each other more than that. (Of course they do, every time!)

So something like, "I love you more than.....fudge brownies!"

"Well, I love you more than....Schlitterbahn!"

NOTHING has ever won out over love!

    Is "Schlitterbahn" English???
  17.
My granddaughter got in trouble by telling her mother that she loved Grandma more "than mom." I explained to my daughter the game and she did not find it funny. I told her that it was our game and to please let it happen. She had her feelings hurt.

Didn't think about that, Mary, but DD did have to take care of that issue. They would do "I love you more than...Daddy" But DD shut that one down in a hurry. She explained that they wouldn't want to hear Mom talk about siblings being compared, so we don't compare Mommy and Daddy.

I don't think Schlitterbahn is a word at all I think Sunshyne made it up.

My sister had 5 children and when I was with them in California I used to say "Goodnight and God Bless" when they were going to bed. The eldest 3 had to add there own bits after the God Bless. One said "I love you", one said "I like you", and the younger of the 3 said "Bye".

Schlitterbahn is a German word meaning "slippery road".
