In 2012 the ALZ assoc sponsored a float in the Rose Parade. As part of the awareness raising it rang a bell every 68 seconds.
Of course my thought was that as difficult as it is to be 'diagnosed' and since there is not yet a standardized test or confirming procedure (not to mention all the different dementia diagnoses) how did they arrive at the 68 seconds? Oh well it attracts attention (and perhaps funding)
