Thank you sunshyne that was fantastic. One just couldn’t help but smile! I could really use that guy Matt at my house, a huge spirit lifter! Point taken, If you get the chance to sit it out or dance….. DANCE!!!
Sunshyne, I just had to come back and thank you again. This has been a very tough week for me, it would have been my Dad's birthday tomorrow.... I keep watching this video when I am overwhelmed. And Christian the lion when I need a cry. I sent both to my siblings and I know it brought the first real smiles to my family this week. Thanks again!!~Nikki
Okay, guys, I found an old friend recently who will, I promise, bring a smile to your face.
You old computer geeks, do you remember NEKO? He's still around!

bg, returning from leaving my husband alone for almost 4 hours while I retrieved a car from Arlington MA and loaded up on stuff at Trader Joe's. And he was fine, although he has no idea how his stair glide got downstairs or why the phone kept ringing (he can't remember how to use the phone, usually.)
I watched this on the Today show last week. I am a Christian nut I must admit. You wouldn't believe how many pages I have bookmarked! There are many more videos out there too, I have watched them all :)
I was one of those thousands who got tears in my eyes. What a beautiful thing. My one son has a little cottage industry going--he house sits and takes care of pets while people are on vacation. He has a fairly large clientel. I sent this web-site to him and asked him if he'd like to be called in to take care of a nice kitty like this.
What a beautiful animal. What love those two men had to have shown Christian in order for him to remember. They said the last time they saw him was in 1974 and at that time he was a completely wild animal and he was never seen again.
It is beautiful and amazing! This is from one of the sites I have bookmarked about the meeting they had in 1974, the last time anyone saw Christian...
Rendall details a final reunion that occurred in 1974. By this time Christian was successfully defending his own pride and had cubs of his own -- and he was about twice the size he was in the reunion video. Adamson warned them that it would most likely be a wasted trip as he had not seen Christian's pride for nine months. However they discovered when they reached Kora that Christian and his pride had returned to Adamson's compound the day before their arrival.
Rendall describes the visit he, Bourke, and George Adamson made: "We called him and he stood up and started to walk towards us very slowly. Then, as if he had become convinced it was us, he ran towards us, threw himself on to us, knocked us over, knocked George over and hugged us, like he used to, with his paws on our shoulders."
The reunion lasted until the next morning when everyone went to bed. According to Rendall that was the last anyone saw of Christian. Adamson counted the days after that visit until Christian's return, but gave up waiting after 97 days ............. So even though truly wild by this time Christian STILL showed the same love. Too bad it took 35 years for this story to make headlines! ~Nikki
