I would be there in a heartbeat if I lived there! As it is I am meeting a friend for lunch on Monday and we may make it a bi-weekly date so I am trying for a life "after".
Why Bama I'd be proud to buy at Dreamland, however I have an important engagement in South Florida, besides fishing an checking out some vintage cars in Okeechobee,a funeral in Lady Lake,an old high school sweetheart near Tampa an three daugthers an two gransons to entertain with tales of my very distant youth,I myself wonder how I'll be able to get everything done in the short amount of time I'll be visiting oh an I almost forgot, looking for a humble abode, not in the Naples area I might add,so you can see I am working on a tight time budget and as much as I'd like to take you to Dreamland for some ribs,I'll have to wait til next season when the much improved Tigahs invade Tuscaloosa to seek revenge for the poor showing this season
ol don*, if you're looking for a "humble abode" with fishing nearby, my cousin has a mobile home in a park on the west side of Lake Okeechobee at Lakeport that he'd like to sell, cheap! He's a retired minister who actually lives in MS and has wintered at Lakeport for the past few years but he's ready to give it up now. You could check it out on your way up to Okeechobee.
ol don* I'm sure you are pulling for the Tide today. Hopefully I can yell Roll Tide tomorrow. If not, it's been a good year. Have a good time on your trip to Florida.
Oh Bama, aren't you proud of your Alabama boys!!!! They are outstanding tonight!! Can't believe they have Notre Dame down 38-0.........and it's not over yet.. Roll TIDE!!!!! Nancy B*
Ol don, if you like cars, try to get up to Punta Gorda to Rick Treworgy's Muscle Car City. I took Lloyd there in 2010 and he loved it. Besides hundreds of muscle cars, they had other auto memorabilia. Bought Lloyd a tee shirt there and the next time he decided to "run away", he took the shirt with him.
Phranque, you make me jealous. My first car, when I was 15, was a 1928 Buick touring car, with only 7,000 miles on it. I used it all through college and medical school, but had to sell it. The last I saw it was at an antique car show where it was best in show.
