While sitting next to Dh eating Christmas lunch, i noticed he was breathing very loud and heavy?.
like it was hard for him to breath...even while eating at the same time.
DD said she could hear it too from across the table.

if it were me and i saw a change like this i would ask for a chest xray. just to rule out pneumonia. there have been alot of illnesses going around lately.

About a year ago my dh started breathing loud and I thought he was getting over a cold, sounded like asthma finally made him go to dr. And he had some serious heart issues ... I would get it checked out. May not be anything but when you think it's odd... It probably is.

Yes, it's not like him to be like that, only noticed it then.
I'll be going in to see him today, and will take your advice to have him checked out.
    We're having a terrible heatwave here....stifling heat...over the 40's celcius all week.
The Dr only goes in to see them once a week, any day in the evening, so hard to be there when he goes.
The Nh is air-coned, but the residents rooms aren't, they only have ceiling fans.
    Thank you..

    Julia,

Did you get your dh's breathing checked by the doctor? I have been thinking about you and hoping the doctor saw him.

Yes, Joan the Dr thinks it's just the heat, very hot weather we're having here, but he does need to drink more water. They keep giving them cordial diluted with water every 2 hours, at home he was always in the fridge getting a drink of cold water.
The Dr said being the stage he is, everything he does is a bit more of an effort for him....him being out that day, might have been very tiring for him.
DH's breathing did seem a bit better yesterday.I'll keep an eye on him.

    Thank you Joan.
