Joan, I can't thank you enough for your blog yesterday. Altho I lack others with AD, I don't lack friends, and yesterday was my husband's 85th birthday. After reading your blog, I realized that he needed to have some social interaction. I invited 2 couples to come over for dinner. Nothing much, just seat of my pants kind of stuff, and a cake with candles. he was thrilled. Although when i first got him up (he sleeps a lot) he wanted me to call off the party, I refused, and forced him to got up and dress. after our friends left, he kept telling me what a good time he had, and how much he loves me, and how lucky he is to have me. But the most important thing was that he enjoyed his birthday, and all thanks to you, Joan.
