DW hit the big 70 yesterday. Both daughters flew in from Oh, & NY to spend the day and join us and some friends for dinner last night. I prepared DW's favorite dinner, potato pancakes, brisket, etc. Although DW had no idea why we were cerebrating, she had a wonderful time. When rembering life events, DW became quite engaged and even spoke a few cogent words on subjects as they came up. Ativan enabled her to remain seated, no wandering or rummaging, as is her norm and the excitement of being the center of attention, unwrapping little gifts, etc. had her totally engaged and no over sedation. It was wonderful that our daughters, could escape from their obligations' ( they each have 2 teenagers, engaged in the usual non stop whirlwind of football, soccer, cheerleadimg) for the day. DW got a smile Skyping with the grandchildren, she'd shown no interest in the past. Both daughters departed, quietly :) at 6AM this morning. A good time was had! Best of all while I was prepping DW for bed, they emptied the dish washer and did a quick vacuum job
Thks all for the positive comments. Regretabally a price was; all day Saturday,"I want to go home'" was DW's mantra. I kept reminding her we'd wouldn't be able to get a flight, it would take 2 hours to get to the airport and go through security. She'd shake her head at the mention of security and drop the issue
