    Hi Everyone,

I am going to post this on the home page - Lots of wind and rain from Isaac here - will write and post a blog when it is over. I can't keep the computers on too long - uh oh - big thunder and lightening now. If the power goes out, even for a second, it crashes the computers, so I'll see y'all when the weather calms down.

Water is hip high on my street. Water up to the doors. A car is bobbing in the water up the street. Gee-Isaac missed us. So where did all this stuff come from. There was also a tornado just north of us. Joan and I need water wings.

I have not turned the computer on all day because of the thunder, lightening, and torrential rains. It's still raining, and there are still pockets of thunder and lightening, so I'm not going to stay on long. I now have a lake in the back of my house. Oh, and we are nowhere near Isaac. He's off the west coast of Florida, and we are on the east coast, but the storm is so big that it is blanketing the entire state with monsoons of water.

In the middle of all this, I get a call from an aide at the Palms (AL) next door where my father is, telling me that he has one diaper left, and is out of wipes. They couldn't have called me YESTERDAY????? I told her to take some of theirs ( for which they charge me) because I was not coming out in a tropical storm.

Although Bluedaze's development is around the corner from me, my street is not flooded. Tomorrow the ducks will find the lake in the back, and they'll be swimming around happy as can be. Honestly, I'm not kidding. That's what happens whenever the lake appears in the back from heavy rains.

Somehow, my phone came equipped with a storm warning - I did not download it. All of a sudden this afternoon, a siren was coming from the phone alerting me to a tornatdo warning and to take cover. Sid DID NOT want to move - he started whining and arguing with me about how we have hurricane impact windows and nothing will happen. He wasn't understanding that they don't protect in a tornado, but I at least got him close to the master bathroom, which is an inside room. He sat on the bed facing the bathroom, and I sat in the bathroom until the warning was over.

    I hate hurricane season.

Joan-my street still is a fast moving river. I'm sure the Publix lot is still flooded so take care.
