6 am here in Hawaii. I am thinking we should hear anytime...Oh God we are hoping for Nikki, praying in earnest that she will pull through with flying colors. And praying for Lynn too. Comfort him when he misses her, and continue the good work being done in his life. Without Your strength and Spirit that has formed us, we could not be healed. Amen.

    From Nikki's sister

‎(Missy Clifford) Still no word from her doctor, I spoke to the receptionist and she said she is still in the operationg room and has been in the OR for 7 and half hours. She said it could be at least 2 hours before I hear anything. I will update you as soon as I know- Keep the prayers coming- thank you
  3.
Damn. I just got back home and had hoped there would be news, good news. I guess we just keep praying.
  4.
This is from Nikki's sister via Susan-*UPDATE*... Nikki is finally out of surgery! I just spoke to 2 of her surgeons and they said she is doing well. She has no signs of a possible stroke and is stable. The surgery was successful to a point and they hope they have corrected enough of the problem to alleviate her symptoms, but only time will tell. She may need more surgeries in the future, but for now - we are just thankful she has come out of the surgery and is doing well! I still haven't been able to see her, I should be able to see her in 2 hours. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. And thank you Lord for hearing our prayers and keeping Nikki safe.
  5.
Thankful for this update. Certain our thoughts & prayers played a role. I know that from experience. Look forward to more updates.

jang* - to answer your question, New Hampshire (where Nikki lives) is in the Eastern Time Zone -- as is Maine.
New Brunswick, Canada is in the Atlantic Time Zone - which is further east.

So traveling from NB into Maine, you would turn your watches back an hour.

ANOTHER UPDATE***.. Not sure whats going on, when I left Nikki at 6pm, she was joking, was in good spirits, and the doctor said she might be able to come home tomorrow, all great news. Then I got a phone call from Nikki just a few mins ago and she said something is wrong and they were going to do a brain scan- I couldn't hear her well, as her throat is dry- so I called Dartmouth, spoke to her nurse and she said Nikki is having visual disturbances and they are taking her for a brain CT -Scan. This is all I know and I will keep you posted as information comes in.
  12.
We better keep the prayers coming.

Thank you ms.magic. I thought we had turned our watches back when we entered Maine. It is a good thing I was awake at 5 this morning then.
  13.
I just thought of this. How the heck can you come home the day after 9 hours of brain surgery?
  14.

Here's hoping for a good outcome. The initial reaction and the operation itself were successful as this type of surgery is serious in and of itself and Nikki felt good at first. We're all thinking about her and she's in our thoughts and hopes.

It is 4 AM and I can't sleep - my mind is on Nikki. I got out of bed to check the message boards, Nikki's Facebook page, and Missy's Facebook page. No updates since the last one 6 hours ago about the visual disturbances. Going back to bed to try to sleep.

thank you all- i truly believe in the power of prayer. I just got off the phone with Nikki's nurse in Dartmouth and she said Nikki is in a good amount of pain, but is resting. They did the CT Scan, but they still don't have any results. She said they probably wouldn't have any more information until morning, but she has my number and will call me if anything changes. I'm emotionaly and physically exhausted and am going to try to get a couple hours of sleep. thanks again

    Latest update on Nikki!

I was texting Nikki in the wee hours of the morning, and spoke to her on the phone this morning. She is still in a lot of pain, but it was very reassuring to hear her voice. I was a little upset that her nurse didn't call me at 4am when she was in so much pain- that her body was shaking, but Nikki gave her specific orders to not call me, as she didn't want me to get in an accident on my way back up there, she was worried about my daughter who has type 1 juvenile diabetes and her dogs being lonely, - so made me smile knowing she is still the same old Nikki lol. She may be coming home today, but we are hoping they keep her another night, as she is still in pain. She also has a huge lump on the back of her neck that the neuro surgeons can't explain, but while they are monitoring it, they don't seem overly concerned about. It could be from being on the operating table for so long yesterday with her head in that donut type contraption? But anyways, she asked that I update you all and to thank you for all your prayers and support!!
  18.
Oh God I could not sleep well either. Glad she is...ok? Cannot WAIT until she is all better.
  19.
I am so glad that she is ok but still in shock that they are planning to send her home.

‎**I am posting these words for Nikki- she is talking and I am typing** "I have been able to read my kindle to read your messages both here and at Joan's, I am not able yet to respond. Your comments, prayers, love and support have touched me deeply. (she's crying as she's talking- telling me how everyone from Joan's site has their lights on for her- very moving). No stroke! I am just so glad I didn't have a stroke. I am trying to put everything in a positive perspective, I am disappointed that the surgeons weren’t able to fix it completely, but I am so thankful I didn't have a stroke! Whew! I still have significant vision problems, but I can see. The pain is unspeakable at times, but I'm still here! Thank you so much and I will post when I feel better" She is crying too much to say any more- thank you all!
  20.
Thank goodness no stroke. Nikki-we love you.

Nikki, how amazing that you are able to respond at all after such an operation. Please rest and do what the doctors tell you to do. Hugs.....

I am amazed...at the love I feel for someone I have never met. It makes me think of God's love. Tears of joy here Nikki, I know you have a long way to go and prayer continues.

I've been out of town for the past 6 days, and although I could read the posts on my very old, very limited memory computer there, I couldn't sign in to post. It's the first time that' s happened. I tried all sorts of ways, but no luck. I cried tears of joy when I read that Nikki had made it through the surgery, and I'm confident that in a few days, all complications will have been resolved. Continuing to send love and prayers.
