Positive thoughts are with you you both, Nikki, as well as the surgeons. Lynn will be waiting for you! Arms around and around you.
  4.
All the thoughts and prayers will be with you tomorrow and Monday and for many days after. Is New Hampshire an hour ahead of Ontario? I must look that up.
  5.
You are in my daily prayers and will continue to be. I'm also asking for extra skill for the surgeons and all involved in your care. Also that your dear Lynn have nothing but good days.

ok... so I wasn't ready for this....... *tears*

It is such an emotional time for me. Joan, your blog moved me deeply. I was trying to read to my sister what you wrote but I got too choked up to talk. By the time she was done reading it, she too had tears in her eyes. And she said, what I already know “you are so blessed to have such amazing people in your life”

And I am. You are all like family to me. You have been since the first time I posted on this wonderful site 4 years ago! The outpouring of love, compassion and support I have found here is a gift I treasure.

And now, sap that I am, I am having trouble seeing through the tears. You guys just have no idea how much your thoughts, prayers and loving comments mean to me….. Much love, Nikki ♥♥♥
  6.
All the best Nikki...thoughts and prayers will be with on Monday.♥
  7.
Yes Nikki you are so beloved! May you be surrounded by angels to protect you, and may God's love shine on you.

This is a wonderfully special site, Nikki, and a source of much needed support for many of us. But aside from Joan's amazing spot-on postings, this site is so amazing only because of people like you. We'll all be pulling for you, Nikki, so hang tough!

We are in the final countdown. I leave home at 3:45 am....

The closer it gets, the calmer I am. I credit this to the experience Lynn had during his hospitalization. Let's just say, I witnessed a miracle... and it forever changed me, and my beliefs.

Without a doubt I now know my Dad will be with me, watching over me. That brings me great peace.

And wow, all of you!! How can I be overly nervous when I have a group of amazing people such as you cheering me on and praying for me. I see many of you have also included Lynn in your prayers, that means so much to me. ♥♥ Truly, thank you all!! I am sure I will not sleep tonight so I will be checking in later too :)
  12.
Best wishes for a speedy uneventful recovery

Nora you are too sweet!! Seriously, you all are making me cry ♥ I live in New Hampshire, so Eastern time zone. What a moving thought, you are all so loving and kind!!

Just had a wonderful experience, one I initially fought. My sister, niece and nephew set up a “Laying of the Hands” prayer circle for me this evening. I truly did not want to go. Not because I don’t “believe“, but because I really really dislike being the center of attention.

Having said all that, I am glad I went. It was very moving…. Incredibly so.

People are pretty amazing. We often times only hear of the bad, well I am here to tell you human compassion lives strong among us.

They were all so concerned about me, praying for me and hoping to take away me fear. I truthfully told them I am not afraid and without quite knowing why, I shared Lynn’s experience while he was in the hospital. I was choked up and there wasn’t a dry eye in the whole church. It was moving to share it with people who embraced what I know to be the truth. Maybe not everyones truth and that is perfectly fine. But it is Lynn’s truth and my truth. I am calm and at peace.

One way or another I know I will be just fine. Some think 45 is young, but with my neurological diseases there was a time that I honestly didn’t think I would live to see 45. You can cram a whole lot of love and living in your life when you live each day consumed in the knowledge that each day is a gift. Heartache, chronic pain, Alzheimer’s and all, I have had an amazingly beautiful life.

They always say you can’t bring jewelry into surgery with you, but from past experience I know the rules can be bent. For each of my previous brain surgeries they let me have a few pieces of special jewelry on a necklace. They taped it to the inside of my palm where it would be safe and not in their way. I have the necklace Lynn gave me, his last gift to me, my wedding band, and my Dad’s dog tag all ready to go. I am betting the doctor wont have the heart to say I can’t keep them with me. ♥♥♥

Truly, from the depths of my heart, thank you all for your love, compassion and unyielding support. Much love to all of you ((hugs)) ♥♥♥

lights on in WV - I told my DH about the lights on and he said turn on the red white and blue ones on too(still there from the 4th)he thought they were brighter-I said well she can not see them from Florida, but he said if she closes her eyes she can see them ALL over shinning just for her! SO here;s to you Nikki-close your eyes and see the world (or at least the US) light up just for YOU!!!!!!!!!!! We are with you and Lynn in our hearts.

Lights on in Toronto, Ont. It isn't just the U.S. Nikki says she is on Eastern time but when we went into Maine last week, I thought we had turned our watches back as we left New Brunswick. Yes? No?

Nikki, God bless and keep you and Lynn in the palm of his hand.

Nikki, you have been Superwoman, and I know from what you have told us that you have a top medical team, so combining those with my optimistic outlook coupled with faith, and your determination and optimism, will hopefully get you through this with flying colors. You have overcome so many hurdles in your life, and while undergoing these tests, you fought for L too.

You have so many lights, prayers, and arms around you just waiting to hear.

    Love you,
    Mary
