Have any of your spouses changed their nighttime sleeping location? Over the last two weeks, DH has been sleeping in our basement on and off. Mind you, he spends most of his day there, since it's his home office area (even though he hasn't worked in two years). He watches TV there and I suspect he's falling asleep while watching. It worries me a bit when I wake up during the night and realize he's not in bed. Also, sometimes he doesn't know it's morning and claims it's not time to go to bed yet. Then he won't take a shower -- I guess since he wakes up with his clothes on he figures he's already done that. I'm thinking we're entering another phase. Just curious if anyone has encountered this.
Altered perceptions of time became more and more frequent. This varied from husband not knowing the time of day, to not knowing the month or even the season. The worst was when he would knock on my door at 2-3 am to tell me it was morning and therefore time to get up. Sometimes during the early afternoon he would say it was getting dark and time to sleep. I'll never understand how this became his reality, but it did.
Elaine K. my DH sleeps all night due to the Seroquel I give him at night, BUT before I got him on that & he was in the stage when he was agitated & was raging, he would wake up during the night, turn on every light in the house & get into everything & occasionally he would take a shower & change clothes. He never insisted that I wake up, but when the light goes on over your bed, it does tend to wake you up. It is strange what they do in each stage & so unpredictable.
