    I have now gone thru a year of holidays since placement. Lucky for me, I have never been a big holiday person. However, I admit I was a little sentimental Thanksgiving week, which was also my 25th wedding anniversary.

    Its been quite a journey creating new traditions for myself. Somehow I never expected to be doing so in my mid 50s.

    Time to turn up the air conditoner and have a piece of watermelon. Happy 4th of July to all!

    I agree with the thing about eliminating holidays. I gave them up a long time ago, well before the AD. (they are just too painful for so many reasons)

    Like so many I am living one day at a time. Whether it is a holiday or just a regular day, they are now all the same.
    I dont know if doing this is good or bad, but it just 'is' . . .
