I live in SE PA, 5 miles from the DE and MD state lines. I am new to the site and still trying to figure out how to post. I am 75 years old and nearly computer illiterate. My husband will 82 this summer and I first noticed a problem at the time we moved here from NJ in 2007. At first he couldn't follow a map (important in finding our way around a new area). Now he can't find his way off our street. Now we have GPS thank goodness. I do have one advantage over a lot of you in that our daughter lost her in VA 2 years ago and moved in with us, so I do have someone who knows what I go through, and someone to discuss daily activities with.

Glad you are with us, MaryinPA.

You are posting just great. I am 80, my husband is almost 86. We have been battling this disease for almost 5 yrs. I have to say that progress seems slower than younger spouses. Who knows, a year from now things may be much worse.

Welcome to this "life saver" web site. We live in Southern Middle Tenn - a beautiful area. We are both 79. Sorry you have to be here but it is a place where I have learned I'm not alone and that I'm not imagining these weird behaviors from my dh. Also found answers to so many things I might never have known. And it is a good place to vent with no one thinking you're selfish or lazy. Maybe that is what I like best ;)

We have been to the Shady Maple, several times. We have family in PA. Small world :)

Hi, I am from GA. My DH was diagnosed 5 years ago and saw signs and questioned doctors around 9 years ago. Dh is 60 and I am 50. I am not sure if anyone is on here from GA. My daughter lived in PA for a year. My daughters live away one in DC, NC, and FL and one son in north GA.

MaryinPA, welcome from Mary in Montana.

yhouniey, I live southeast of Lancaster on Rt 896 , 5 miles from the DE state line. I don't know exactly where Shady Maple is but hear about it all the time. We have lived here only 5 years, about the time DH was showing signs of AD. We did go up to the Lancaster outlets occasionally until he became impossible to travel with. Now the only place he goes is to the doctors.
