    Hello Everyone,

    I invite you to log onto the home page - www.thealzheimerspouse.com - and read today's blog. Please help me pay tribute to all of those spouses who have passed away from this horror of a disease, and to the spousal caregivers who have given their all.

    And tell the world - Guess what? It's not simple memory loss. Alzheimer's Disease Kills!

    It is so sad.

    May they have only gentle breezes on their journey.

    I wonder how many caregivers it's taken as well.

    Yes I could hardly believe what has been happening here lately. Gut wrenching. Please yes gentle breezes are in order.

    Having been away these past two weeks (from sight that is) I am stunned by so many May/June passings. It does break your heart when a member of this family's loved one passes. And Joan your right ............wake up world Alzheimers disease KILLS !!! No hope, no chance.....just heartbreak and pain.

    What were the dates for ol don* and Diatron? I did not see them in the Jan-June files where I looked. If they are between Jan and Jun 2012, my apologies, and I will add them to the list on the home page.

    Diatron's Judy passed on April 24th

    So sad...far too many over the last few months..in memory of them lost and their loved ones..♥

    Too much heartache for so many lately. In loving and caring memory of those who have gone on, and those left to try to put their lives back together.

    In addition to this larger support group (that's how I think of this site), in my small support group of 6, sometimes 7, two died in April, one has been given a day or two to live, and another has just been diagnosed w/lung cancer which has metastasized and isn't going to be treated. Heartache, yes, and more to dementias than memory or speech loss.

    Such sadness and heartbreak. May they all be at peace now. Those of us left behind will just try to make sense of it all.

    My sympathy and prayers to all the caregivers who have lost their loved ones. May you find comfort in that they are free from this terrible disease .May you find peace in knowing you gave it your all.

    I also want to express my deepest sympathy to all those who have lost their dear loved ones. This road is so hard and we can't look ahead to better days - only sadness and death. Yes, Joan, tell the world that Alzheimer's kills....every time!
