I'd like to be able to take a walk or bike ride around my community early in the morning and be sure my husband stays put. So far, he just goes back to sleep, but, on one occasion, he got up to follow me, not ENTIRELY dressed, and I'd like to be able to head him off at the pass if that happens agains.

I've seen a couple of wireless monitoring devices (similar to a baby/pet monitor) that allow you to hear and view what's going on in various parts of your home using an iPhone or other smart phone. I'm wondering if any of you have tested one of these and can share how well they work.

    Thanks...

I haven't heard of any of our members using such devices, but maybe someone knows something about them. Anyone?

I think I recall someone on here installing cameras in the rooms in their home so they could monitor a caregiver or something like that. Would that do the same thing? Could you monitor it via phone? I am not too up
on all the new stuff and applications of phones, etc. I am lucky to know how to delete the calls I missed and hope I do remember my password to get my recorded messages off my cell phone.

Two years ago, I bought a Panasonic wireless webcam (Model BL-C131A) that could be accessed over the internet. It could transmit sound, and the camera could pan. It worked great once. I actually logged into the cam and could see the entire room. I spent over 8 hours configuring the darn thing, and finally got it to work. Once. Somehow, when I tried to access it the second time, I kept getting errors and the technicians at Panasonic could not figure out why it did not work.
Perhaps the newer models have resolved these issues, and I hear that they can work absolutely great....Cost is about $200 I believe. I bought it much too late, and by the time I really needed it, I had someone stay with my dw when I was not home. I intended to get a different model, but realized that I could not leave her alone at home at all.....

we have cpi security with a video camera. i can log in on my iphone and get live feeds from the camera but it is just in one area of the house . it works great if you want to put it somewhere that has more coverage for where your spouse might be while you are gone. we put ours strictly in for security purposes and it monitors the area that anyone would cross through if they broke into our house but i have logged in and watched bobby pace if i was out for a walk in the yard, he always paces through that area also

Be sure that any camera system you buy is secure. There have been cameras out there that allow anyone on the Internet to control them. One major company discovered and fixed this problem but wasn't able to alert most of its customers because so few people registered the devices.
