My girls 19 and 21 were so cute, they put up signs all over the house announcing it is our 23rd anniversary. They bought a card and had DH sign it ( kind of sorta). It was very sweet. I am lucky to have such caring daughters. As for the anniversary it just is what is is.
aww. how sweet for sure. maybe let them know how much it means to you and treasure that card. i have one 12yrs old that was the last my DH signed on his own. it means so much now. maybe a lunch out and take the girls with you and DH? they sound like lovely young ladies. good for you they have come to bat for you. divvi
That is nice to hear. A couple years ago my kids made me a birthday banner, with all their grown-up handprints on it. It was lovely, at a point when I was feeling pretty down. I'm glad you have great kids.
My daughters [in their 30s] tried to help DH with getting me a birthday present last month, and he was so confused. He kept telling them I don't like flowers! [Since when? He always bought me flowers!}
Finally they gave up trying. He kept turning it around as if THEY were asking him what to get me!
How nice. Your daughters obviously realized that you always celebrated your anniversary & wanted it to be special. My daughters also did that for a few years with anniversaries & other holidays, but as ms. magic said, it was just too confusing for him & now he doesn’t even realize what the holidays mean. So sad because he used to look forward to getting presents.
