Just wanted to share. My dh has had an issue with itchy bumps on his arms, shoulders, upper chest and back for a couple of years. The doctors/nurses have treated him for everything. I was covering his arms and hands but it only took one night for him to open the wounds again. I have been using a product on my (face) skin for years and thought why not try it? I began using it and to my joy and amazement the skin is healing! I looked up salicylic acid on the internet to find it is the main ingredient in aspirin. No more trying to stop the itch as it is gone. You may want to talk with your doctor/nurse about this. I hope this helps some of you that are struggling with this issue.

brindle-good info. Putting an aspirin on a bleeding cut will stop the bleeding. Aspirin is salicylic acid.

Fantastic news! Glad your DH has healed so well. We don't have this problem yet, but will store the info away if he ever does. Thanks for sharing :)

Ah the miracle drug..simple aspirin...I wonder if a paste of it would cure warts? Isn't that the stuff used for warts?
but then what makes aspirin cause GI bleeds then?
