Hi everyone, I dont post often but do read other posts ,Don had his leg amputated above the knee 9 days ago because of bad circulation .He came through the op much better than we thought he would. He had been in a care home but cannot go back there as they dont have a 24hour nursing care section.So....eldest daughter who has quite a big house can make room for Don and I to move in with her as she lives on her own .Lots to get in situ before Don can go there from hospital ,a hospital bed ,a hoist and commode and a recliner chair plus all his other needs .Carers will come in to see to most of Dons personal care and my daughter has years of experience of care in the home .I just hope and pray it works out ok .God Bless you all on the Alz journey love to everyone (((hugs)))

Glad the surgery went well. How blessed you are to have such a "home care" situation.

Yes, your daughter deserves a Huge Hug for all her love and compassion. You are so blessed for so many reasons. I am so glad your dh is doing better than expected. Now you can take care of yourself also..... take care and praise God.....
