Dear Joan, The emotional roller coaster called Alzheimer's is no stranger to any of us on this journey. I went through a very rough time a few years ago and I was angry with you and felt betrayed. The details do not need rehashing, but I want you to now that my reaction was inappropriate and hurtful. Before the entire “ Alzheimer's Spouse” family, I apologize to you. Whether you believe in God, Jesus Christ, Allah, or no one, it is obvious that some divine intervention took place that inspired you to create your site. It is a place of comfort, hope, learning and sharing for all who enter. DickS
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You did not have to do this publicly, but that you did, demonstrates what an honorable, decent man you are. Please check your e-mail later this afternoon for a personal note.
Hugs and kisses all around....good things happening on the site that helps so many and so much saddness. Don't know the details, don't need to know the details...just great to see something good.
I agree...we are all in the same family, no matter our religious affiliation or absence of such...we offer each other so much with each of our experiences, good and bad. We are indeed grateful to Joan for starting this site.
this is wonderful. I think as in "regular life", our families and friends on the web have our kerfluffles and disagreements, I know that I have been very hurt elsewhere. This place, well it is in it's own category, I think it would take a real twisted individual to want to post here under false pretenses.
SO we are REAL< we hurt, we care, we want to help. So nice to see you here Dick.
I don't know what the issue was, which is a private matter, but it takes a big man to say so publicly " I am sorry for what I said back then.." and to add, what all of us know with certainty, this is a place of refuge for those of us in the thick of it, and we are all grateful to those who remain or return for a visit, who have earned the star..
Dick, Very honorable of you to apologize here in public...whatever it was, It's water under the bridge now, we don't need to know. Our little family here are so supportive, I am thankful for you all
Dick, it is so nice to meet another honerable man that is in our family. We have many,,,,, and that is what helps many of us keep going. Know that we all do and say things in the midst of pain and suffering that we would not say otherwise. It is all good. It is also good to have another pair of shoulders to rely on...... Welcome,,,,,,,
