Very good article. My husband suffers from this disease.

So did I. The CG and family hurt, too.

I couldn't find the article...what is it under? I looked under mental health and couldn't find it. My husband also suffers from FTD so I would like to read it. Thanks for your help.

I went to latimes.com and put FTD in the search engine. Very interesting article.

Thanks, I did the same and found it. Very interesting article. DH had many of the same behaviors before we had a diagnosis. It was very hard on our marriage-I was considering divorce after putting up with his sh*t for 2 years-then he was diagnosed. I'm still here.

My DH, for about a year, has not been able to understand what I call "expressions." If I were to say, "...it would make your hair curl " referreing to a scarry show, he would not know what it meant and question me. He would say something like, "why would you want curly hair?" I have never seen it described in an article before.

    Thanks,
    Mary!!

Loss of abstract thought was one of my husband's first symptoms. I once said to him "when it rains, it pours"; he looked outside and back at me and said "it's not raining".

My DH has Alzheimers, not FTD, but recently, when I said he seems like a happy camper today he said that no, he never liked camping!
