    Joan,
Your weekend blog touched me . Like you , I have never asked "Why me?" or "Why Him."
Years ago I read a quote by A.Ashe, the great tennis player . He was on top of the tennis world and was suddenly faced not only with heart condition, but later learned he had contracted aids as a result of the heart surgeries and blood tranfusions. Before he died he was asked if he ever questioned why it had happened to him, he stated no. He answered that he never questioned the bad things because he had never questioned the good things about his life. He had taken them for granted. I keep the quote and when I faced my own illness several years ago ,it helped me get through.

Although I responded in the earlier discussion about resentment , I have been rethinking the whole idea of resentment. I can't say I resent what has happened or even that I ask why.

While my situation is a very sad one, we live in a world of great joy and great sadness.Up to now at least ( and who knows when it might change) I want to work on accepting what I have today...

This sight has helped me to do that ...With knowledge comes acceptance.

I am so sorry you faced such a bad week..I think that all you do is amazing.
