    Life is not ever

    what it appears to be

    Church once a week-

    and family pictures deceive

    The surface looks good

    The hugs and the smiles

But the eyes tell the truth

    The sorrows the trials

    The eyes tell the stories

know one wants you to know

    the eyes take you places

no one wants you to go

    So don't be surprised

    if Sheri just looks away

When shes smiles and tells you

    "We're doing fine today."

Well said Sheri. When I smile now, the sides of my mouth turn up, but there are no smiles in my eyes anymore. The light has gone out of them.

Thank you for putting into words the feelings of many.

My grandson just hugged me today and as I hugged him and smiled he said"mamaw you smile with your mouth but not with your eyes like you did before Alz. took over you and papaw's lives". Guess some people do notice that IT is taking away pieces of our lives little by little.

Everyone says I am always so up beat and seem to be doing so well. If they could only see into my heart.
